Updates & Photos
Post announcements, pin updates, email guests, and manage the photo gallery.
Updates (feed)
Updates (/events/{id}/feed) is your event announcement board.
Post an update
- Click Post update
- Choose Type: Announcement, Update, or Note
- Write your Message
- Optional: Pin to top — stays above other posts
- Optional: Send by email — blasts to joined guests with email on file
- Submit
Posts appear on the guest hub Announcements section (pinned first).
Manage posts
On each post:
- Pin / Unpin
- Archive — hidden from guests; kept in your archived count
Photos sidebar
The Updates page shows a photo preview with View all photos → full gallery.
Photos
Photos (/events/{id}/photos) — full gallery for organisers.
Upload
- Choose image file (from phone or desktop)
- Optional Caption
- Upload
Uploading creates a feed entry and adds to the gallery. Photos use private storage — guests and organisers access via authenticated URLs.
Gallery
Grid shows image, caption, uploader name, and date.
Delete
Organisers can Remove any photo.
Guest photos
Guests can upload from their hub Photos section. They can only delete their own photos.
Archived events
Upload and posting are disabled when the event is archived. Existing content remains viewable.
Tips
- Pin important logistics (address, dress code, meeting point)
- Use Send by email sparingly for must-read updates
- Encourage guests to upload photos after the event — great for the group
